A message saying your Homegrown account is restricted and asking you to verify it with a link is a scam. Homegrown did not write it. Don't click the link and don't reply.
You may have gotten it as a normal Homegrown email. When a shopper messages you, Homegrown emails you a copy of what they wrote. The email is ours. The restriction warning inside it was written by a shopper, not by us. The restriction claim is fake.
Homegrown never sends account notices or verification requests through Messages, and we never ask for a card number to verify your account. To check your account, open a new tab, type findhomegrown.com and log in there yourself.
Already clicked or typed something?
Clicked the link but didn't type anything: close that page and don't go back to it.
Card number: call the number on the back of that card now. Tell them you entered it on a scam site and ask for a new card.
Your Homegrown password: change it now by clicking "Forgot password?" on the login page at findhomegrown.com. If you use that password anywhere else, change it there too.
Name, address, date of birth or SSN digits: contact us through the chat icon on findhomegrown.com or at [email protected]. Tell us what kind of information you typed in. Don't send us the details themselves.
Report it
Send us a screenshot through the chat icon on findhomegrown.com or at [email protected] so we can block the account that sent it. Do this even if the sender's name matches an account we already banned. Anyone can make a new shopper account with the same name.
How to spot it
It sends you to a link to "verify" or "regain access." Real identity verification happens only inside your dashboard, after you log in at findhomegrown.com yourself.
It asks for a card number. Identity verification asks for your legal name, date of birth, the last four digits of your SSN and your home address. It never asks for a card.
It shows up in Messages from a name that looks like ours. Messages is where shoppers talk to you about orders. Anyone who makes a shopper account can type any name.
The message vendors got on October 26, 2026
A shopper account named "Home-Grown Support" sent vendors a message through Messages. It claimed their account was "temporarily restricted" because of a new Privacy Policy and asked them to "complete verification" with a tinu.be link. The link opened a fake page made to look like Homegrown that asked for a credit card. We banned that account the same night. A message with different wording that still says your account is restricted and sends you to a link is the same kind of scam.
