Delivery lets you drive orders to shoppers near you instead of having them come to a market or pickup spot. You set the rules: how far you'll go, what you charge, and which days you're on the road. Homegrown takes no cut of your delivery fee — you keep it, minus card processing.
Turning delivery on
From your vendor dashboard, go to Locations and add a delivery area. You'll set:
Starting address — where you drive from. This stays private and is only used to measure your radius.
Delivery radius — how far from that address you're willing to drive.
Minimum order — the smallest order total you'll deliver.
Delivery fee — a flat fee you set. Set it to $0 if you'd rather not charge.
Delivery days and hours — the days you actually drive.
Daily delivery limit — how many stops you'll take in one day, so a busy day doesn't get away from you.
Prep time — how much notice you need before a delivery. This decides the earliest day a shopper can choose.
A finished delivery area looks something like: 15 mile radius, $0 fee, $35 minimum, Tuesdays 8am to 8pm.
If delivery is the only way you sell
You don't need a pickup location. A vendor with a delivery area and no pickup spot can take orders, and checkout starts in delivery mode. Your Getting Started checklist counts the delivery area as your fulfillment step, so it finishes at 5 of 5 without a pickup location.
What shoppers see
Shoppers inside your radius choose delivery at checkout and pick a delivery day. Shoppers outside it won't see delivery as an option. Orders under your minimum can't be placed as delivery. Once the order is in, the shopper gets delivery confirmations as you move it along.
Running your deliveries
Delivery orders show up in your dashboard with the rest of your orders. Work your route and mark each stop delivered as you go — that's what triggers the shopper's confirmation.
Changing your settings later
Open Locations, tap Manage location on your delivery area, then the pencil icon at the top right. Radius, fee, minimum, days and prep time can all be changed. See How do I change my order prep time?
Delivery is not shipping
You drive the order to the shopper yourself. We don't mail or ship orders anywhere. See Are there options for shipping?
You can run delivery alongside pickup — a Saturday market plus a weekday delivery run, for example. See How to Add Pickup Locations on Homegrown.
